Choosing an institution
You will need to enrol with a university that offers the particular doctoral programme that you wish to study - see the RCN database for a list of institutions here
When choosing an institution for your doctoral study, you should consider:
- Can this institution provide a supervisory team who can supervise your study? You could approach a particular expert in your field and ask if they could supervise your project at their employing institution.
- What supervision and other support for doctoral students does the institution offer?
- What are the institution's regulations for doctoral study? What are the minimum and maximum timeframes for study, and what interim reports are expected and at what stage?
