PhD Forum

Professor Lesley Baillie has launched a doctoral forum that is open to all nurses and midwives at the Trust and UCL.

The forum is an informal group of UCLH staff who are at different stages of doing doctorates (PhD, Professional Doctorate, Doctorate by Publication) at various universities. The forum gives opportunities to share experiences about the doctoral journey and provides peer support.

The UCLH Doctoral Forum is run by Professor Lesley Baillie, who is the Florence Nightingale Foundation Chair of Clinical Nursing Practice at London South Bank University and University College London Hospitals.

Lesley is always happy to be contacted for informal discussions to explore research ideas, practice development and staff academic development.

She can help in the following areas:

  • Options for doctoral study - PhD or professional doctorate

  • Keen to support development of research projects which focus on integrated care

  • Especially keen to speak to anyone who is interested in focusing their dissertation or doctoral study in this area.

The Forum dates for the next calendar year are as follows;

  • Thursday 21st January
  • Tuesday 22nd March
  • Thursday 26th May
  • Tuesday 19th July
  • Thursday 20th September
