
The Health Foundation's SHINE programme has opened up its latest application round for funding. It is looking to support project which seek to support patients in being active partners in their own care, improve patient safety or to improve quality whilst reducing costs.
They have more than £1m in funding to allocate in order to support innovative healthcare teams. The funding will be allocated to support up to 18 teams to undertake their work. Each project will run over 15 months, including three months' set up and a 12 month implementation period. Projects will be in operation by the beginning of 2013 and each project will present results at an end-of-programme conference to be held in the first quarter of 2014.
