Join BACCN at their 4th International Conference

BACCN will be holding their 4th International Conference on the 10th - 11th September 2012 in Brighton.

This event promises to be very exciting with special live demonstrations in the Simulation Lab and workshops catering for Healthcare Assistants and Assistant Practitioners. There is also a full programme of speakers from all over the world speaking on subjects such as "Non Invasive Ventilation" to "Using high fidelity simulation as a paediatric intensive care orientation tool"

Simulation Lab

A series of live simulation sessions for attendees to book into in both adult and peadiatric scenarios; including preparation for transfer and anaphylaxis management. This will be faculty led by clinical experts and is hosted by Laerdal Medical Ltd.

Programme Developments

Alongside the series of key note speakers and concurrent sessions there will be two dedicated symposia:

  • Monday 10th - Paediatrics Symposium - headed by Jos Latour Nurse Scientist, Netherlands, & Fiona Lynch, Nurse Consultant, Evalina Childrens' Hospital, Guys & St Thomas', London.
  • Tuesday 11th - Research Symposium for experienced and novice critical care nurse researchers with speakers from ICNARC, and sessions by Drs John Albarran (Bristol) and Bronagh Blackwood (Northern Ireland).

Special Workshops

BACCN will be hosting another afternoon of sessions dedicated to Healthcare Assistants and Assistant Practitioners including the BEACH course & certificate.
