2 Vice-Chancellor PhD scholarships at London's University of Greenwich, UK

You should have a first class or upper second honours degree or Masters from a relevant discipline and previous experience of undertaking research to apply for these scholarships in falls and older adults or dementia and pain.

Falls and Older Adults Ref: VCS-H&SC-02-12

You will examine the relationship between pain and falls within one community setting (Kent), to build upon the work of the Boston Mobilise study and look if people who do not fall have better pain management than those who do fall.

Dementia and Pain Ref: VCS-H&SC-03-12

You will explore the use of pain management guidelines within nursing homes in one district and develop a strategy for implementation of the guidelines based upon a pilot evaluation within one care home.

Both scholarships offer a stipend for three years and a waiver of tuition fees up to a maximum amount equivalent to the university's home/EU tuitions fee for MPhil and PhD students.
